First Impressions

Alright, first off—this thing isn’t your average disposable. The DOJO iMate X 20K is more like a little gadget. It's powered by Vaporesso and works kind of like a two-part system. You’ve got a reusable battery hub with a screen, and then you snap in a flavor pod. It's magnetic, it slides, it clicks… honestly, it’s kind of fun to mess with. And yeah, I found myself sliding it open and closed just for the hell of it. It even sticks to the fridge thanks to magnets, which I didn’t expect, but now I kind of love.
What really caught my attention though was the display. Not just a tiny LED—this thing has a full-on HD screen. The first time I powered it up and it said “Hello dojo,” I just kinda smiled. Didn’t think I’d ever be saying this about a disposable, but it actually felt smart. And not in a gimmicky way. This one felt like DOJO actually thought through how someone’s gonna use it day to day.
Design & Build Quality

It’s got a slick look, kind of futuristic. The whole body is rounded off, smooth to the touch, and just sits nicely in your hand. I wouldn’t call it pocket-sized like a pen-style vape, but it’s not brick-level either. Think
just big enough to feel solid without being annoying.
The build is tight—nothing rattles, the materials feel high quality, and the magnetic sliding system is satisfying every time. Seriously, this thing could double as a stress toy. And it’s sturdy too. I dropped it once from the couch and it came out fine, just a tiny mark on the side.
Now, the display… man, it’s actually beautiful. Colorful, sharp, and super clean. You get battery life for both the pod and the hub, e-liquid levels, your power mode, all that. And you can even switch up the wallpaper with a long press on the button. I spent way too long flipping through them until I found one that matched the color of my hoodie. It’s dumb, but I liked it.
One side button does everything: power on/off, toggle modes, wallpaper changes. Easy to learn, and you’re not fumbling around with up/down buttons or menus. As for downsides, the mouthpiece is a hard plastic tip—totally fine, but personally I’m more into softer rubber ones. And there’s no adjustable airflow. You get what you get, which is a sort of medium MTL draw. Works for me, but if you’re picky about airflow, just know it’s fixed.
Performance & Flavor

Alright, so it’s got the looks. But how does it actually vape?
Pretty damn well.
The iMate uses a dual mesh coil setup, and it’s got this thing called TFC, or True Flavor Control. I know, sounds like marketing lingo, but it actually does something. The chip inside automatically tweaks the power to suit whatever flavor pod you’re using. Stronger flavors get a bit more heat, lighter ones a bit less. You’re not setting anything yourself—it’s all happening under the hood.
I tested a few flavors, and I could feel the difference. My Hawaii Dream pod (mango and pineapple vibes) felt warmer and punchier, while Miami Mint was cooler and more mellow. Nothing dramatic, but it’s there, and it helps the flavors come through really clean. And even after a bunch of puffs, the flavor didn’t drop off. That’s something I’ve had issues with in other big-puff disposables, but here it stayed solid right to the end.
It’s an auto-draw device, and the sensor is spot on. Never once did it misfire or not fire. The draw itself is smooth, quiet, and that medium MTL range I mentioned earlier. The 50mg hit comes through nicely—not too harsh, not too soft.

You’ve got two modes: Eco and Power. Eco gives you more puffs and a cooler vape, but honestly, it felt a bit weak for me. Switched back to Power pretty quick and stayed there. Vapor production in Power is solid—not cloud-chucking, but enough to feel satisfying. If anything, I sometimes wanted just a little more heat or density. Nothing crazy, just a notch up.
Now for the flavors. They’re awesome. I tried Hawaii Dream, Blue Razz Ice, Sour Apple B-Pop, Pink Lemonade, and Miami Mint—and I liked all of them. That’s rare. Usually there’s at least one dud in a disposable lineup, but not here. They’re bold, well-balanced, and no weird chemical aftertaste.
Sour Apple B-Pop had that sour candy vibe with a little green apple kick. Pink Lemonade was sharp and citrusy with a nice cool exhale. Even the mint was smooth—not toothpastey, just a clean hit. Bonus points for that little card in the box that ranks each flavor on coolness, sweetness, and sourness. It’s a nice touch, especially if you’re deciding what to try next.
Battery & Charging

This thing has a two-part battery system: a 900mAh rechargeable battery in the hub, and a 400mAh battery in each pod. That’s a combined 1300mAh, which is nuts for a device this size. Here’s what’s cool: if the hub dies, you can pop it off and keep vaping on the pod’s internal battery. I tested it, and it worked perfectly. Got me through a trip to the store and back. Once I got to a charger, I clipped the hub back on, plugged it in, and kept vaping. You don’t have to stop. It’s like the pod’s your emergency generator.
Charging is via USB-C, and it takes about an hour to go from empty to full. I usually just plug it in for 20 minutes and that’s enough to get through most of the day. If you’re using Eco mode, you’ll stretch it even further, but again, Power mode just feels better to me. Also, it does pass-thru charging, so you can vape while it’s charging. The only minor downside is you need the pod attached to charge both batteries. You can’t charge the pod separately, but I didn’t find that to be a big deal.
I ended up charging the whole device maybe three times before the pod ran dry. That felt about right based on the juice level readings on the screen. The e-liquid meter drops about a third every full cycle on Power mode. It’s nicely balanced—no “battery dies before juice runs out” nonsense. Now, yeah, when you throw out the pod, you’re still tossing a small battery. That’s not ideal, but it’s definitely less waste than chucking a whole device every time. So props to DOJO for at least taking a step in the right direction.
Jake’s Experience

I’ve been using the iMate X 20K daily for a few weeks, and honestly? I’ve been loving it.
It checks all my boxes for a daily vape: great flavor, solid performance, battery that won’t leave me hanging, and just enough nerdy stuff to keep me entertained. Sliding the pod open and closed never got old. Setting the wallpaper to match my mood became part of my morning routine. I even got a laugh out of a friend who thought the screen was playing a video.
The whole “keep vaping while charging” thing saved my butt more than once. I hate downtime when it comes to nicotine. With this, I didn’t have to stop. And the flavor just held up. I ran through the entire Watermelon Ice pod, and even at the very end, it still tasted clean. Only the last couple of puffs got that slightly dry taste—and that’s after well over a thousand hits.
No leaks. No weird coil burn. No screen bugs. It just worked. The only nitpicks I’ve got are about airflow and mouthpiece comfort—both totally livable. The rest? Smooth sailing.
Going back to a basic puff bar after this felt like a downgrade. This thing spoiled me.
Final Thoughts

The iMate X 20K nails it. It’s clever, it’s clean, and it’s got enough features to make it feel like a serious piece of gear without complicating things. If you’re the kind of vaper who just wants a reliable, flavorful device with way more longevity than the average disposable—and maybe you like a little screen magic on top—this thing delivers. It’s not trying to replace a high-end mod, but for what it is, it’s probably the best disposable-style vape I’ve used.
The modular battery idea is smart. The performance is consistent. And the flavors absolutely slap. If you’ve been looking to step up from the usual disposables without diving into coils and tanks and refilling stuff, the iMate X 20K hits that sweet spot. It’s clean, long-lasting, and actually fun to use.
